TELLER COUNTY NEEDS YOUR INPUT
Currently, the use of shipping containers for storage buildings in Teller County is not permitted by the Land Use Regulations (LUR). Teller County is considering amending the LUR to allow the use of shipping containers for storage buildings on properties 10 acres and larger in the Agricultural (A1) Zoning District.

RECENT LUR AMENDMENTS
The Teller County Board of County Commissioners recently approved three Land Use Regulation text amendments regarding the Special Review Use Permits.
- Brewery and Distilleries, Section 8.3E
A. Craft (Micro Distillery and Large Distillery) are defined in this section. - Resort, Event Center, Wedding Venue, Section 8.3Y
A. The definition of Resort has been clarified and to also include Event Center and Wedding Venue in this section. - Colorado Proposition 122: Natural Medicine, Section 8.3EE
A. Regulations have been established to ensure clarity, promotes public health and safety, and appropriately regulates natural medicine activities.
These uses will require an approval of a Special Review Use Permit. For questions or inquiries please contact the Planning Division.
Duties of the Division
The Planning / Zoning Division is responsible for developing and administering land use plans and land use regulations for the purpose of directing growth in an orderly manner.
