BOARD OF REVIEW

The Board of Review is appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. It is comprised of nine volunteers, five regular board members and four alternate members.  They are volunteers from the local construction industry and are Teller County residents.

The Board of Review assists the Building Division by issuing General Contractor Licenses, reviewing complaints against contractors, considering requests for variances to the International Building Code, and mediating disputes between contractors, citizens, and the Building Division.

Class-A, B, B-1, C, C-1 

Contractors must appear before the Teller County Board of Review. When your application is approved by the Building Official, you will be notified by mail within a week of your hearing date and time. The hearing is an informal review of your application materials, construction experience, intentions, and will take approximately 15 minutes.

All new licenses are Conditional (see Section 103.d of the Teller County Building Code). The Board will state the conditions for the license at the hearing and once the conditions have been met and approved by the Building Official, a permanent license may then be issued, or re-appearance before the Board of Review may be required. Driving Directions to the Board of Review Meetings:
The Northeast Teller Fire Department - 1010 Evergreen Heights Dr., Woodland Park, CO 80863 From Highway 24 in Woodland Park, go North on Highway 67 (This is the traffic light at City Market, the Movie Theater, and the Medical Center). You will be going north toward Deckers and Manitou Lake. Approximately 1 mile (or 4 streets down on the Left) on North Highway 67, take a Left on County Road (you will see a sign that says Left to Meadow Wood Park). Go West on County Road approximately 1/3 mile. On the right, you will see the Northeast Teller Fire Department. Park in the parking lot, go through the front door and straight back down the hallway to the conference room and take a seat in front of the tables.
