Colorado Benefits Management System (CBMS) PEAK Web Portal

Allows anyone to determine if they might be eligible for public assistance benefits. Existing clients will be able to view the status of their benefits. Applications for benefits are available at the PEAK website.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

SNAP is Colorado's Food Assistance Program providing food purchase assistance for families and individuals that qualify. You can complete an application at either Teller County Department of Human Services location or visit the State website to download an application. You can also apply online at ColoradoPEAK

Medicaid Program

Medicare Drug Plan

The Federal health insurance program for people 65 years of age and older; certain younger people with disabilities. View more information on the Colorado Department of Health Care website.

Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF)

  • Provides financial assistance and medical benefits to eligible families.
  • This is a federal program providing cash assistance to needy families with dependent children.
  • The program was designed to demonstrate that it is possible to overcome barriers and become self-sufficient with the help of logical support services.
  • The amount of financial aid provided is based on family size, income, resources and ages of the children, starting from the date the application is received.

Medicare Savings Program (MSP)

Provides financial assistance to pay Medicare premiums, and in some cases, copays and deductibles for eligible applicants.

Baby Care Program

Provides medical assistance to eligible pregnant mothers and children.

Daycare Program

Assistance with daycare costs for eligible families.

Low-income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP)

Low-income Energy Assistance Program. Assistance with heating costs. The application period is from November 1 through April 30 of each year.
